About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of projects related to engine valves and valve components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management: Develop and maintain project plans to deliver on program plans for builds, testing, and integration.
  • Manufacturing Team Management: Develop and maintain the manufacturing team's scope, schedule, cost, and resource & HW manufacturing plans.
  • Progress Tracking and Reporting: Prioritize, track, and report progress in support of assembly and acceptance testing.
  • Engineering Change Management: Assess programmatic impact of engineering change requests identified via manufacturing.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate and drive engineering changes with upstream and downstream stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, including removal of blockers or investigation and escalation of issues.
  • Project Metrics and Reporting: Develop and report key project metrics.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S./M.S Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry (space or aviation), including component fabrication, precision assembly, and/or testing using a variety of methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational/coordination skills, troubleshooting and quick thinking, and ability to build trusting and effective working relationships.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex component development & manufacturing, pneumatic/hydraulic valves design, test, and manufacturing, and configuration management systems.
