Position Overview

The Department of the Army is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee and direct a team of acquisition specialists. This role involves strategic planning and the delegation of tasks to ensure effective program management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assigns and manages work for a team of skilled acquisition personnel.
  • Responsible for overseeing employee performance, training, and development initiatives.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and implements employee recognition programs.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and equal employment opportunities.

The incumbent will engage in advanced analytical work, utilizing mathematical modeling and statistical methods to address management challenges.

Analytical Duties
  • Employs scientific inquiry to assess management issues and provides statistical insights regarding potential solutions.
  • Develops, presents, and justifies budgetary and resource allocations.
  • Establishes timelines and monitors program progress, identifying areas for improvement and initiating corrective measures.

Coordinates the preparation and presentation of major program documentation at the Headquarters Department of the Army level.

Requirements

Applicants must meet specific conditions of employment, including:

  • U.S. Citizenship verification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Completion of a suitability or fitness determination based on a background investigation.

Additionally, candidates must possess specialized experience that demonstrates their ability to fulfill the responsibilities of this position, typically gained in roles at the GS-13 level or equivalent.

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates should have:

  • At least one year of specialized experience in financial management and resource coordination.
  • Experience in providing analytical support to management regarding program execution.
  • Proven ability to develop systems for monitoring workforce performance.

Education may not substitute for the required experience in this role.
