Position Overview:
As the Deputy Director of Support, you will be entrusted with overseeing the management and execution of essential business functions and critical support services for the Department of the Army.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the execution of business enterprise processes, including the Business Enterprise Review Board and the Contract Action Review Board.
2. Analyze proposed contract expenditure plans and strategies, recommending adjustments to achieve cost efficiencies.
3. Collaborate closely with business enterprise partners to implement cost control measures and enhance operational efficiencies.

Financial and Resource Management:
Direct the planning and execution of financial operations, human resources management, military construction, facilities management, and corporate information management. Ensure effective business planning and personnel resource allocation while fostering leadership skill development.

Support Services Oversight:
Manage critical support services such as risk management and special staff functions within the headquarters. Ensure alignment of high-visibility business and planning programs into a cohesive command strategy.

Representation:
Act as the command's representative at high-level meetings with key officials from military services, industry, academia, and governmental entities.

Strategic Planning:
Establish long-term goals and objectives, determine program priorities, and manage organizational changes affecting support staff.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet specific employment authority categories to be eligible for this position. Relevant experience includes:

  • Administering operational intelligence programs involving manpower and resource management.
  • Performing contract management, including negotiations and contracting techniques.
  • Developing innovative solutions for leadership within an operational intelligence context.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures established by agency headquarters.

Additional Information:
This position may require a background investigation and the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. A Confidential Financial Disclosure Report will be required upon entry and annually thereafter.
