Key Responsibilities

Our internship program provides students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge acquired in academic settings to a professional environment that offers a comprehensive understanding of the accounting cycle.

  • Assist with verifying employment and fulfilling other requests for employee information from external parties.
  • Document gifts and gift cards distributed to employees.
  • Monitor leave of absence overpayments.
  • Update secondary rate tables within the timekeeping system.
  • Produce reports from the timekeeping and payroll systems as needed.
  • Distribute requested check stock and pay cards.
  • Support data entry tasks within the payroll system.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Availability: At least 20 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters, and a minimum of 30 hours per week during the summer and academic breaks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
