Global Business Services (GBS) aspires to be the Partner of Choice for Beam Suntory, creating exceptional value through the superior delivery of business services and solutions. The GBS Accounting Analyst position will be responsible for supporting accounting functions in North America. This position is pivotal in ensuring accuracy of Beam Suntory's financial records and a timely and accurate financial close. This role will be involved in but not limited to fixed asset accounting, intercompany management, inventory accounting, journal entry processing, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. This position will be responsible for driving continuous process improvements and helping the team expand its current scope of services. This individual reports to the Record to Report Manager in Louisville, KY.

Support team in general ledger management, account reconciliation, inventory accounting, fixed assets, key audit controls, relationship building, and financial close activities Prepare and park assigned financial entries (monthly and daily) Perform periodic reconciliations and adjustment entries for general ledger accounts Support critical month end close activities for multiple legal entities Assess and communicate material risks to key stakeholders Drive efficiency gains and ensure the high quality of financial accounts Execute and analyze assigned Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Reports Document operational tasks and end to end process flows to identify key areas of improvement Collaborate globally and cross-functionally on various strategic initiatives to promote short-term and long-term performance Advance opportunities in analytics leveraging SAP, PowerBI, and other applications Partner with other functions to create automation and advanced reporting initiatives Coordinate with internal and external auditors to maintain controls and process documentation Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business degree Years of experience: 2 – 3 years prior accounting/finance experience Level of experience: comprehensive PC skills, advanced level Excel using Pivot Tables, lookups, and logic statements Systems: Demonstrated ability to learn new applications (technical aptitude) Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and financial reporting solutions Experience in a high-paced environment Familiarity with analytics and RPA software
