Position Overview

The Tax Preparation Intern plays a vital role in supporting the preparation of individual and corporate tax filings. This position focuses on acquiring and honing fundamental tax preparation skills, which include calculating, documenting, and verifying data, as well as organizing, categorizing, and maintaining records. The intern will familiarize themselves with the firm's operational procedures and software applications while assisting accountants and management as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Currently enrolled in an accounting program at an accredited institution
  • Preference for juniors or seniors pursuing a degree in accounting
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of intermediate accounting and introductory tax courses is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
