Job Opportunity

MERIT BRASS COMPANY is seeking a seasoned Industrial Sales Manager to spearhead our sales initiatives and drive growth in the Houston, TX market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and market Merit Brass product lines to customers within the assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Visit customers' sites to understand their processes and needs
  • Offer solutions to improve customers' processes and operations
  • Manage territory and accounts to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Become proficient with all Merit Brass product lines
  • Target growth in the Industrial PVF segment
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, local sales representatives, and marketing to grow market share
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience and 2 years of experience selling Industrial Pipe, Valves, and/or Fittings
  • BS College degree (in Engineering, Business or related major), or high school diploma plus relative experience preferred
  • Prefer to have sales experience in the Houston, TX market
  • Primary residence in the Houston, TX area and willingness to travel overnight throughout the Gulf Coast region as needed
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with a CRM tool
  • Proficient project management and communication skills
  • Proven track record of success, including business development, sales, and account management
  • A self-starter who enjoys working in an autonomous role while being a member of a team of highly skilled colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate learning agility, creative thinking, adaptability, problem solving, and resourcefulness
  • Solid organizational and time management skills; able to work in a virtual setting with minimal supervision
  • Capable of lifting 50+ pounds
