Industrial Sales Director

MERIT BRASS COMPANY is seeking a seasoned Industrial Sales Manager to spearhead our sales initiatives and drive growth in the Houston, TX market.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and market Merit Brass product lines to customers within the assigned territory
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers
- Visit customers' sites to understand their processes and needs
- Offer solutions to improve customers' processes and operations
- Manage territory and accounts to meet or exceed sales goals
- Become proficient with all Merit Brass product lines
- Target growth in the Industrial PVF segment
- Collaborate with sales leadership, local sales representatives, and marketing to grow market share
- Minimum 5 years sales experience and 2 years of experience selling Industrial Pipe, Valves, and/or Fittings
- BS College degree (in Engineering, Business or related major), or high school diploma plus relative experience preferred
- Prefer to have sales experience in the Houston, TX market
- Primary residence in the Houston, TX area and willingness to travel overnight throughout the Gulf Coast region as needed
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with a CRM tool
- Proficient project management and communication skills
- Proven track record of success, including business development, sales, and account management
- A self-starter who enjoys working in an autonomous role while being a member of a team of highly skilled colleagues
- Ability to demonstrate learning agility, creative thinking, adaptability, problem solving, and resourcefulness
- Solid organizational and time management skills; able to work in a virtual setting with minimal supervision
- Capable of lifting 50+ pounds
