Position Overview:

The selected candidate will play a crucial role within the Facilities and Plant Engineering (F&PE) division, overseeing a variety of complex Facilities Engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage corporate capital, overhead, and government-funded project timelines and financial plans using Maximo.
  • Lead the design process and provide support for construction activities utilizing CAD software tools such as MicroStation, Project Wise, and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines, internal stakeholders, and contractors to ensure projects are cost-efficient, adhere to budget constraints, and meet established design specifications and timelines.
  • Draft Statements of Work (SOWs), Baseline Agreements (BLA), cost estimates (BOE), and project budgets.
  • Create and maintain precise Microsoft project schedules.
  • Generate reports, drawings, and specifications for a diverse range of projects.
  • Make independent, informed recommendations and decisions regarding design development.
  • Conduct technical reviews of design, bidding, and construction documentation.
  • Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Manage alterations in project scope as necessary.
  • Perform capacity and demand analysis of utility systems to support growth initiatives.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Facilities and Maintenance teams.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure funding requests align with the Long Range Plan (LRP) and other program objectives.
  • Recognize project or program risks and implement actions to minimize impacts on strategic plans.
  • Lead or assist in various studies for current or upcoming projects.
  • Deliver presentations to various stakeholders and project teams as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in Facilities Engineering, including construction and design.
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or REVIT.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Facilities Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Master Scheduling.
  • Understanding of construction design and application.
  • Training in mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience in construction project management and planning.

Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is necessary for consideration.

Work Schedule: Flexible work schedules are supported, including options for part-time remote work. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Compensation: The annual base salary range for this position varies based on location and other factors.
