Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Office Associate to join our team on a part-time basis. This role will involve supporting the financial resources team with financial oversight, including accounts payable, cash management, and reconciliations.

About the Role:
  • This position is ideal for someone with experience in general accounting transactions and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Training may be provided to supplement some experience.
Main Responsibilities:
  1. Accounts Payable (50%):
  • Determine voucher validity and ensure accurate account allocation.
  • Verify consistency with services or goods received and enter information into the University's payment system.
  • Respond to inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
Cash Management (5%):
  • Process cash deposits for the Business Office.
  • Handle Non-UMR Summer Housing payments and coordinate with the billing specialist.
Reconciliations (5%):
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations and resolve inconsistencies in financial reporting.
  • Assist departmental procurement card holders with transaction reconciliations.
  • Review, monitor, and reconcile financial activities for sponsored and non-sponsored funds.
  • Oversee month-end account reconciliation for all chartfield strings.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 per year, based on industry standards and the required skills.
