Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager within the DocuSign AI Applied Science division, you will spearhead a dedicated team of applied scientists, establishing benchmarks for technical excellence in Applied Science and Machine Learning. Your leadership will focus on developing core AI/ML capabilities and models that drive our innovative IAM platform.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience in designing, constructing, fine-tuning, and assessing machine learning solutions, including large language models (LLMs). In collaboration with product and platform stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in delivering AI solutions for agreement comprehension, information extraction, semantic search, and question answering.

Your expertise in AI and machine learning will be instrumental in advancing our AI strategy and influencing senior leadership. You will combine your technical acumen with team-building skills to cultivate a premier ML team that delivers exceptional AI experiences to customers across the DocuSign Agreement Platform.

  • Oversee multiple initiatives, facilitate cross-team collaboration, and shape the technical roadmap while guiding the efforts of applied scientists and ML engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to translate user needs and product specifications into robust, customer-agnostic machine learning solutions, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality AI/ML features.
  • Stay informed about state-of-the-art technologies for NLP tasks, including long document comprehension, entity extraction, text encoding, LLM fine-tuning, semantic search, question answering, and document layout analysis.
  • Provide coaching and leadership in applied science best practices, modeling and evaluation techniques, responsible AI, and dataset enhancement.
