Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled RPA AGE Mechanic I/Deployment Pool Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our deployment pool, you will be responsible for supporting deployments to various locations and ensuring the timely and proper performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE equipment and light support vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, and operate AGE equipment to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions and interpret technical data to facilitate repairs and/or modifications to ground support equipment.
  • Identify and order replacement parts, remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and re-install AGE accessories and components.
  • Service equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air as required.
  • Operate, clean, inspect, and service AGE tow vehicles.
  • Maintain and document AGE equipment and tow vehicle forms.
  • Position equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
  • Schedule PMIs as required.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and follow technical orders as applicable.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or completion of relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.
  • Minimum of one-year actual AGE maintenance experience required.
  • Must be qualified with most basic types and uses of AGE equipment.
  • Must be familiar with diesel engine maintenance and repair, and HVAC maintenance and repair at the basic level.
  • Must be able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.
  • Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.
  • Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date.
  • Must have had an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months.
  • Must have current/active State Issued Driver's License.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid flight-line Government Driver's License.
  • Must have valid U.S. Passport with a minimum of two years remaining with at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank Visa pages.
  • Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated with booster.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a relevant career field.
  • RPA Deployment experience.
  • Prior experience as a Defense Contractor.
  • Vehicle Operator Training.
  • AGE Mechanic experience within the last 10 years.
