Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled RPA Munitions Technician I/Deployment Pool Specialist to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, renovating, transporting, loading, deactivating, modifying, destroying, and handling munitions, including missiles, precision, and gravity bombs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Configuration: Perform basic work in the installation, configuration changes, modification, repair, and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components.
  • Maintenance and Demilitarization: Perform basic maintenance modification, destruction, and demilitarization on ammunition and explosive components.
  • Stock Control and Accounting: Operate basic computer hardware and software/utilities and manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction.
  • Munitions Management: Assist in management of all inspection, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Support quality assurance, compliance, continuity, and standardization of munitions programs.
  • Technical Inputs: Provide technical inputs to management in matters of weapons management, inventory, maintenance, loading, and armament systems.
  • Certification and Currency: Maintain weapons certification and currency.
  • Availability and Serviceability: Assist with availability and serviceability of munitions to support and meet customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or completion of relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of actual Aircraft Munitions/Weapons maintenance experience required.
  • Certifications: Completed USAF Munitions/Weapons Tech School or DoD equivalent.
  • Language: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Clearance: Must have had an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, carry, and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree in a relevant career field.
  • Experience: RPA Deployment Experience.
  • Background: Prior Experience as a Defense Contractor.
  • Skills: Munitions/Weapons experience within the last 10 years.
