Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled RPA Munitions Technician I/Deployment Pool Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our deployment pool, you will be responsible for supporting deployments to various locations, both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). This role requires flexibility and adaptability in supporting assigned deployment/work schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, configuration changes, modification, repair, and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components.
  • Conduct maintenance modifications, destruction, and demilitarization of ammunition and explosive components.
  • Operate computer hardware and software utilities and manual records to perform stock control and accounting procedures.
  • Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction.
  • Assist in management of all inspection, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment.
  • Support quality assurance, compliance, continuity, and standardization of munitions programs.
  • Provide technical inputs to management in matters of weapons management, inventory, maintenance, loading, and armament systems.
  • Maintain weapons certification and currency.
  • Assist with availability and serviceability of munitions to support and meet customer requirements.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or completion of relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.
  • Minimum of one year of actual Aircraft Munitions/Weapons maintenance experience required.
  • Completed USAF Munitions/Weapons Tech School or DoD equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Ability to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.
  • Passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.
  • Meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, including pre-deployment medical screening.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.
  • English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing, and understanding).
  • Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months (US citizenship required for clearance).
  • Maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with assigned duties during employment.
  • Current/active State Issued Driver's License.
  • Valid Passport with a minimum of two years remaining and at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank Visa pages.
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated with booster (accommodations may be available under limited circumstances).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a relevant career field.
  • RPA Deployment Experience.
  • Prior Experience as a Defense Contractor.
  • Munitions/Weapons experience within the last 10 years.
