Job Title: Trafficking Intake and Program Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Trafficking Intake and Program Support Specialist to join our team at Heartland Family Service. As a key member of our Human Trafficking Services team, you will provide direct support to survivors of human trafficking and oversee various administrative and program-related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen potential clients, complete intake paperwork, and assist with data entry into the Electronic Health Record system.
  • Perform reception duties, accurately take messages, and give appropriate directions to clients and the general public.
  • Provide information to staff as needed related to client interactions to assist with discharge planning and implementation.
  • Assist with inventorying of program and office supplies, duplication and collation of program materials, and file management.
  • Support shelter staff and oversee the main shelter office to ensure adequate support is provided.
  • Complete screening and intake processes for clients, perform data entry, and upload documents into the Electronic Health Record.
  • Provide problem-solving and crisis intervention to client callers and assist clients with their transition into shelter.
  • Assist therapeutic clients with pre-screening paperwork and maintain program calendars, databases, and file cabinet organization.
  • Inform supervisor of any developing patterns concerning the Sanctuary House program.
  • Be dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Conduct weekly program house meetings and maintain organized common areas of the facility.
  • Assist with monitoring client medication during medication times and receive and distribute incoming program/client mail.
  • Display a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the program.
  • Cooperate and collaborate with agency and collateral staff.
  • Abide by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
  • Develop personal and program-related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities.
  • Create, maintain, and share as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Strive to make connections between the agency and the larger community to contribute to the agency's ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Service field and two years of direct care experience in Human Services preferred; OR equivalent employment experience may be considered.
  • Bilingual - Spanish speaking abilities preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm (between 37.5 and 40 hours per week).

Compensation: Starts at $19.74, wage increased based on total years of relevant experience.
