Overview:
AIT Worldwide Logistics is actively seeking a Customs Compliance Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in Customs Brokerage, Import/Export operations, or as a Customs House Broker entry writer, along with a minimum of one year in customer service or general office/data entry roles.


Responsibilities:


Perform administrative duties within the import operations sector, ensuring exceptional service to clients and their suppliers while maintaining revenue streams from our client base and contracted vendors.

Engage in data classification, document photocopying, scanning, and assembling entries. Responsibilities also include managing import air recoveries, processing checks, and creating delivery orders.


Conduct audits of commercial documents, applying harmonized tariff schedule codes for precise duty assessments, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.


Review and assess documentation for accuracy, verifying country of origin, Importer of Record (IOR), terms of sale, and value to ensure adherence to compliance and federal requirements.


Address daily documentation discrepancies, requiring effective troubleshooting and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with clients and international partners.

Additional tasks may be assigned by supervisors or managers.


This position may involve weekend work on a rotational basis and may require flexibility to accommodate operational needs.


The compensation range for this role is $31.10, which may vary based on geographical location and the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.

Additional Skills We Value:
A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in Entry Writing; 1 to 2 years in Customs House Brokerage or Imports.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Proficient and rapid data entry skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Demonstrated customer service capabilities with strong problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Excellent organizational abilities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to project a professional image and represent AIT positively.
