AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Freight Coordinator to join our team. As a Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and documenting the pickup and delivery of local shipments, as well as coordinating and communicating shipment information between drivers and delivery agents.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for routing local freight, dispatching drivers, performing dock checks, tracking shipments, and working with dock staff members to ensure movement of freight.
- Timely event data entry of shipment milestones into MyAIT & AS400 tracking system – pickup, delivery, obtain proof of delivery.
- Provide customer service to identify and meet specific customer needs. Answer/make customer inquiry calls and address customer concerns/complaints.
- Assign driver load planning based on local mapping & appointments accordingly.
- Identifying and coordinating the prioritization of rushed/urgent/last minute shipments.
- A team player who works well with others – being respectful to our teammates is a Core Value.
