Requisition ID: R

At Northrop Grumman, our workforce is presented with remarkable opportunities to engage in groundbreaking systems that influence lives globally today and for future generations. Our innovative and creative spirit has positioned us at the leading edge of numerous technological breakthroughs in our nation's history - from pioneering transatlantic flights to stealth aircraft and lunar landings. We seek individuals with bold ideas, courage, and a pioneering mindset to collaborate in shaping the future while enjoying the journey. Our culture flourishes on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity, and embracing your authentic self at work — fueled by an unyielding drive to achieve what others deem impossible. Our employees are not merely part of history; they are actively making it.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems has an opening for an Administrative Assistant 4 to become a vital member of our skilled and diverse team. This position will be based in a designated location.

This role requires in-office presence; telecommuting or hybrid arrangements are not available.

Key Responsibilities:

Engages with internal and external stakeholders and executives, professionally representing the organization. Executes standard office tasks, including establishing and maintaining physical filing systems. Manages incoming calls, troubleshooting issues, providing solutions, and transferring calls as necessary. Coordinates meetings and conferences: securing conference rooms, managing conflicting schedules, creating and managing calendar invites, and organizing meal arrangements when needed. Collects, organizes, and distributes correspondence for the support team. Reviews drafts and completed documents for proper grammar and spelling. Proactively addresses inquiries related to office operations and established policies and procedures. Procures necessary supplies and maintains inventory within the designated budget. Gathers, compiles, and reports information pertinent to the supervisor's assignments in a timely and accurate manner.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in customer support or administrative roles. Fundamental proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word (ability to operate these tools). Capability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the company to meet operational needs. Ability to lift over 25 lbs. regularly (e.g., restocking printer paper). Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience collaborating with travel agencies to arrange itineraries for domestic and international travel. Familiarity with Concur Software (Travel/Expense Management Program). Experience in planning, coordinating, and overseeing catering for corporate events. Proven ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a positive demeanor. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint). Salary Range: $63,800 - $106,300. The salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may qualify for Long Term Incentives. Furthermore, Northrop Grumman offers a variety of benefits, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and personal matters.

Northrop Grumman is dedicated to fostering and retaining a diverse workforce.
