Position Overview:

The Enterprise Risk Management Specialist within the IDB's Office of Enterprise Risk Management plays a crucial role in supporting the comprehensive risk management framework across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate the identification and assessment of risks across various departments.
  2. Develop, report, and monitor risk management formats and methodologies.
  3. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding risk practices and emerging threats.
  4. Serve as a consultative resource for the first and second lines of defense.
  5. Prepare risk presentations and informational reports for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  6. Assist in the creation of organization-wide policies related to risk governance.

Additional Duties:

  1. Manage the aggregation, reporting, and notification processes for issues management.
  2. Track bank-wide policies and procedures, ensuring timely updates and notifications.
  3. Compile and monitor key risk indicators, adapting as necessary to changes in business operations.
  4. Challenge risk-related processes, including risk assessments and appetite proposals.
  5. Contribute to the annual capital adequacy assessment process.
  6. Collaborate with business lines to complete risk assessments and develop action plans for identified risks.

This role requires exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with diverse teams throughout the organization. The Specialist will gather essential information from various departments to fulfill assigned responsibilities.

Regulatory Compliance:

Assist in the development of entity-wide procedures in response to new risk regulations or changes in the ERM environment.

Reporting:

Prepare monthly and quarterly presentations for senior management and the Executive Risk Management Committee, as well as ad-hoc risk management reports as needed.

Analytical Support:

Conduct thorough quantitative analyses, justifying findings and conclusions in a clear and logical manner. Stay informed about industry best practices and evolving regulations.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
