Job Summary

The IT System Administrator is a critical role at NMB Technologies Corporation, responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our computer systems and networks. This position requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and network protocols, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to security or usability concerns, taking proactive measures to prevent issues.
  • Create and verify data backups to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Upgrade software and hardware as required to enhance functionality and security, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, virus protection software, and other processes, to ensure secure and efficient operations.
  • Review application logs to identify and address potential issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Install and test computer-related software and equipment, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Set up new user accounts and assist with password resets and account permissions, ensuring secure access to systems and data.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in system administration, with a strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and network protocols.
  • Associate or higher degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
  • Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues, with experience in implementing security measures to prevent breaches.
  • Experience with VMware, MS Office, and Teams, with a plus for experience in a Google Workspace environment.
  • Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to customer service.
