Job Summary

The Encore Boston Harbor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for supporting the management of daily kitchen activities, ensuring the highest level of food quality and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Control and Inventory Management: Assist in the management of food costs, inventory, and supplies to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and chefs, to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Food Production and Quality Control: Assist in the production of food at all stations, ensuring that all dishes meet the outlet's standards for quality and presentation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all government health regulations, industrial safety standards, and corporate policies are followed.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate communication throughout the kitchen, organizing and presiding over regular meetings with team members and other departments as needed.
  • Employee Engagement and Development: Assist in the hiring, performance management, and employee engagement within the department, providing training opportunities and constructive feedback to team members.
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Assist in the planning of menus and the preparation of meals for varying sized groups.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the kitchen, appliances, equipment, and food storage areas.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Purchase and verify the quality and quantity of food and kitchen supplies required for daily activities and various functions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
