The Sous Chef will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional leadership and management skills to our culinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Supervise the setup and execution of events, ensuring seamless service and high-quality food production.
- Team Management: Provide guidance and oversight to Culinary Leads, Cooks, and Steward/Dishwashers, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, properly labeling and dating stock to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Event Support: Assist with staff placement, equipment inspection, and training to ensure successful event execution.
- Quality Control: Enforce high standards of sanitation, health, and safety in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Management team to develop and implement training programs, inventory management strategies, and special event initiatives.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum three years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Culinary Expertise: Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and provide solutions in emergency situations.
- Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write in English; bilingualism is not required but preferred.
