Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position reflects a nationwide market range and encompasses a wide spectrum of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary will be influenced by various factors, including the complexity and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience. Our comprehensive compensation and benefits program also includes eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

Under general supervision and as part of the local line of business (LOB) management team, you will oversee product quality and performance for a dedicated team of Outside Property claims professionals. You will provide guidance and direction to your direct reports through ongoing management involvement and regular claim file reviews. Additionally, you will represent the Home Office Property product in the field as needed, reinforcing LOB Vision, Strategies, and Objectives through your actions.

What Will You Do?

  • Attract, Retain and Develop Top Talent:
    • Proactively recruit talent and collaborate with management to establish and implement a strategic staffing approach.
    • Ensure effective orientation and onboarding processes.
    • Manage staff performance and implement strategies for staff development, addressing training needs continuously.
    • Work with management to create and execute effective training, performance development, and succession planning.
    • Proactively manage retention and respond to turnover.
    • Utilize reward systems to recognize top performers and significant achievements.
  • Deliver Exceptional Claim Services:
    • Employ effective claim handling techniques to uphold our brand's integrity, ensuring consistent service quality and streamlined processes.
    • Develop and implement a strategic file management plan to achieve optimal file resolution and business outcomes.
    • Provide both face-to-face and written guidance to ensure effectiveness, engagement, accuracy, and efficiency.
    • Review new notices to ensure claims are assigned to appropriately skilled staff.
    • Conduct quality file reviews according to office/best practices guidelines.
    • Engage in ride-along inspections/reinspections with claims professionals to offer coaching and feedback.
    • Establish and follow up on file reviews per diary instructions, conducting additional reviews as necessary.
    • Implement strategies to enhance file quality, customer service, and manage costs.

    • Participate in business meetings and agency visits as required.
  • Essential Functions:
    • Acquisition and maintenance of Insurance License(s) may be required to comply with state and Travelers requirements.
    • Access and inspect all areas of a dwelling or structure, which may require physical demands, including carrying and climbing ladders.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

What is a Must Have?

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of three years of claim work experience in at least one line of business required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
