About This Position

This role involves entry-level clerical tasks related to the management of telephone and police records, including collection, maintenance, dissemination, disposal, and filing operations. The work is performed under direct supervision, with the incumbent expected to adhere to established performance standards and report task outcomes to supervisors within the Department's hierarchy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, issue, scan, maintain, file, and review police-related records for access by authorized personnel.
  • Disseminate criminal, juvenile, incident, traffic, and accident records to legally authorized recipients.
  • Distribute police photographs to authorized individuals.
  • Sort, distribute, and collect departmental correspondence.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Any equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform assigned tasks effectively.

Conditions of Employment:
  • Willingness to accept assigned shift work (days/evenings/weekends/holidays).
  • Pass a drug screening.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Meet all training and performance standards and demonstrate proficiency as required by the agency.
  • Wear and utilize agency protective apparel and equipment as necessary.
  • Essential employees are expected to report during standard or non-standard hours as operations necessitate.
