Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Engineer ready to advance their career with a focus on high-rise luxury condominiums, commercial spaces, and healthcare facilities. This role involves performing essential administrative tasks related to project management under general supervision, adhering to established protocols and specific directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication and positive relationships with stakeholders, including Owners, Architects, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
  • Generate detailed construction documents and manage contractual modifications, documentation, and payment assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations set by government bodies, utilities, unions, and project agreements.
  • Assist in the management of construction timelines, material tracking, subcontracting, change orders, and financial transactions.
  • Review shop drawings, submissions, and subcontractor performance; oversee material procurement processes.
  • Verify materials for compliance with specifications and quantities; manage change proposals and collect change orders.
  • Document any deviations, alterations, and omissions in construction; regularly update status reports and logs.
  • Oversee project initiation and closure procedures while maintaining comprehensive project records.
  • Participate in subcontractor, safety, and owner/architect meetings.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance and assist in trade coordination, tool management, and field purchases.
  • Facilitate project meetings and engage in company-related events.

Qualifications:

  • A background in construction and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (a degree in these fields can substitute for two years of experience).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities for interaction with all organizational levels and external parties.
  • Proficient in personal computer applications.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as MS Word, MS Project, Excel, Bluebeam, and CAD Revit (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Capability to produce detailed documentation for various aspects of work being performed or installed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, procedures, and materials.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • 6-8 years of relevant construction experience.
