About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pitch and RFP Support: Create dynamic presentations in PowerPoint and Word for practice area pitches and RFPs under the direction of lawyers and business development managers, overseeing final production of deliverables to meet deadlines, and maintaining pitch/RFP files and tracking system.
  • Marketing Materials: Compile and maintain marketing materials, including PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, tombstones, content for the website, and other custom materials, working with Branding and Design to apply brand standards and firm templates to projects.
  • Experience Lists: Routinely gather and centralize experience lists for use in pitches, proposals, submissions, and other materials, including creation of tombstones.
  • Directory and Award Submissions: Coordinate with communications team and BD managers to compile information and draft submissions related to legal directories and awards, such as Chambers, Legal 500, and Law360.
  • Event Support: Work with events team to coordinate and provide support for K&S hosted events, including meetings, seminars, receptions, dinners, and other events, coordinating and developing invitations, content, and event materials.
  • Strategic Client Targeting: Support managers on strategic client targeting and business planning efforts, including client teams and across practice groups.
  • Lateral Onboarding: Assist with lateral onboarding activities, including drafting bios and tracking client targeting outreach and efforts.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on various topics, including prospective and current clients, competitors, and industry/market trends, to aid in the development of client teams, pitches, RFP responses, and other internal and external marketing initiatives.
  • Client Alerts and Newsletters: Assist with the development and coordination of client alerts and newsletters.
  • Sponsorship Coordination: Provide support and coordinate all activities involved with sponsorships, including processing payments, providing logos, shipping booths and materials, setting up booths, and ordering give-away items.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of marketing and/or business development experience preferred.
  • Law Firm Experience: Law firm and/or professional service experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Candidate should be professional, self-motivated, collaborative, forward thinking, positive, energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about building a business development career in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with great attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, work well under pressure, and manage time-sensitive deadlines across practices.
  • Technical Skills: Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office and proficiency with client/contact relationship management databases, such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Editing and Proofreading Skills: Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • Self-Starters: Demonstrate a capacity to self-start and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while interacting credibly and diplomatically with all levels in an organization.
