Project Manager - Consumer Products (Personal Care & Deodorants)

Position Overview:

We are in search of a driven and meticulous Project Manager to become a vital part of our energetic team within the consumer products sector, particularly focusing on personal care items. The successful candidate will possess a strong history of steering projects from the initial phase through to completion, ensuring that all deliverables are met on time, within the defined scope, and budget constraints. Your role will involve managing the planning and execution of projects, collaborating with various teams, and fostering product innovations to align with market needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Oversee and guide projects through every stage, from concept development and planning to execution and delivery (including shipments to retail and online platforms). Create detailed project plans that encompass timelines, budgets, and resource distribution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product development, marketing, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth project implementation. Facilitate ongoing communication and coordination across departments to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Supervise project budgets and resources, ensuring that all projects are completed within financial limits. Recognize potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate budgetary or resource-related challenges.
  • Timeline Management: Set and uphold project schedules, monitor progress, and modify timelines as needed to achieve project milestones. Provide consistent updates and reports to stakeholders regarding project status and key outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Detect potential risks and formulate contingency plans to tackle issues that could affect project success. Actively manage and resolve project-related obstacles to minimize disruptions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project outputs meet quality benchmarks and regulatory standards. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct necessary testing and validation.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Promote continuous enhancement by identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices. Contribute to product innovation and development to stay aligned with market trends and consumer preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. PMP or similar project management certification is advantageous.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of project management experience in the consumer products sector, particularly in personal care or similar categories.
  • Proven experience in managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple external suppliers to deliver a single project is essential.
  • Skills:
  • Strong project management capabilities with a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to present complex information clearly and succinctly.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar tools).
