We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Product Development Coordinator to join our growing Cosco team. This job is hybrid - being in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure Accuracy
    • Create and distribute request for quotes (RFQs) to Cosco suppliers and ensure they accurately represent the specifications needed.
    • Review Workfront (project management software) requests and communicate w/ Mktg. & Sales to clarify any gaps in the information needed to provide the Cosco suppliers the requirements needed to provide an accurate quote.
  • Validate
    • Review RFQs in entirety and ensure accuracy against outlined requirements.
    • Review BOM for each line item that is included with RFQ response and ensure that the line item break outs are calculated correctly and there are no duplications or admissions and then a final review is completed against the RFQ document.
  • Communicate and Execute
    • Lead with COSCO suppliers, internal team members and the Dorel China quality, engineering and sourcing teams for the projects they are responsible.
    • Utilize all established points of contact to communicate requests in a professional manner. The main subject matters when communicating are for set up of pre-Skus, RFQs, timelines needed for establishing production dates, RTPs, creative requests, FPAs and set up of final Skus.
  • Manage Projects
    • Utilize COSCO internal project management tool, Workfront, for all project related updates and project awareness.
    • Initiate and set up projects through Workfront once the communication is received from sales that an item has been taken by a retailer or the directive has been given. Once a project has been set up and made active, projects are tracked, tasks marked completed through to the date it is manufactured.
  • Provide Support
    • Coordinate needs in order to support customer line reviews, trade shows, corporate and Cosco meetings, and customer service questions.
    • Request samples through suppliers, graphic's requests, and any other items needed.

Experience and Necessary Skills

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Prior Experience
    • 1-2 years working in the Consumer Goods Industry
  • Hard Skills
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge of Skype/Zoom
    • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat program
    • Strong ability to forecasting outcomes and prepare solutions
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Effective time management; maximizes productivity
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, ability to come up with creative solutions to issues
    • Ability to collaborate with team members to produce high performance results
    • Strong sense of urgency
  • Physical
    • Those typical of standard office conditions.
    • Position requires frequent use of vision, hearing, and speaking abilities.
    • Light lifting up to 30 lbs. is moderately required.
