Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled technician to join our team at Jacobs in support of our Research Laboratory Support (RLS) contract with the U.S. EPA Center for Environmental Measurement & Modeling (CEMM). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work independently, utilizing their technical expertise and specialized training to achieve high-quality results.

Estimated Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection: Collect calibration data by prescribed EPA standard operating procedures, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Sensor Calibration: Calibrate sensors that measure flow rate, pressure, temperature, relative humidity, and air velocity, as well as balances, weight sets, pipettes, and gas emission monitors.
  • Data Analysis: Reduce, analyze, and interpret calibration data using statistical tools in MS Excel.
  • Reporting and Record Keeping: Report calibration results and generate calibration certificates in conformance with internal procedures and ISO-17025 standard guidelines, maintaining electronic records of measurement results and reports in accordance with CMS and EPA records management protocols.
  • Maintenance and Improvement: Maintain laboratory standards, laboratory systems that support calibration, and reference materials, contributing to procedure, technique, and process improvement.
