About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Radiopharmaceutical Specialist to join our team at Duke Health in Durham, North Carolina.

Estimated Salary Range: $83,000 - $120,000 per year

Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and participating in technical tasks, tests, and determinations involving radioactive materials and measurement instrumentation. They will calibrate instruments, review calibration data, and detect trends indicating instrument malfunction. Additionally, they will evaluate recorded images for technical quality, process computerized image data, and maintain inventory of supplies.

  • Administer thyroid therapy to patients, calculate dosages, and maintain quality assurance programs.
  • Assist in training new employees, monitor the Nuclear Medicine Department for contamination, and develop new procedures and techniques.

Requirements: A graduate degree or completion of a program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification, minimum of two years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine technologist, and ability to use office-related computer software.
