Position Summary

The Head of Human Resources Client Solutions (HRCS) is tasked with the leadership of the Human Resources Department, overseeing personnel, formulating policies and procedures, and delivering third-party Human Resources consulting services to clientele. The HRCS will provide strategic vision, leadership, planning, project coordination, and management to develop a cost-efficient department while ensuring effective operations to address both current and future business requirements within the HR client services of Flores Financial Services Inc. Additionally, the HRCS is accountable for the seamless and profitable functioning of the organization's human resources client services division. This role involves supervising and advising management on strategic staffing initiatives, compensation structures, benefits administration, training and development programs, budgeting, and labor relations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and direct all activities related to the human resources department.
  • Supervise staff and manage client relationships.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage compensation adjustments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project work; assign tasks, assess work products, and resolve issues.
  • Provide guidance to staff on handling complex situations.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce human resources policies and procedures to enhance overall organizational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate training sessions, including sexual harassment training, new hire orientations, and management training.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards by monitoring and implementing relevant federal and state human resource regulations; conduct investigations and maintain records.
  • Oversee benefits programs, serving as the primary liaison with providers for health, life, workers' compensation, unemployment, and retirement plans.
  • Administer compliance for benefit plans at year-end.
  • Manage renewal policies for workers' compensation and general liability to secure optimal plans and rates.
  • Establish a structured recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; advise managers on candidate selection; conduct and analyze exit interviews; recommend improvements.
  • Consult with clients on the application of human resources policies and procedures during employee-related issues and investigations.
  • Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Develop familiarity with payroll processing systems and their integration with HRIS.
  • Uphold client confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws to provide compliance guidance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual capabilities are advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Capability to adhere to established guidelines while performing various functions.
  • Commitment to professional appearance and adherence to dress code.
  • Engage with legal counsel as necessary.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and PHR - CA preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in a related role.
