Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Oversee the Human Resources Department and manage staff to ensure efficient operations and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Client Services
- Provide third-party Human Resources consulting services to clients, including strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training, and development.
- Conduct performance reviews and assign pay changes as needed.
- Operations and Administration
- Plan, direct, and coordinate work plans, assign projects, programs, and activities, and review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements.
- Training and Development
- Conduct training sessions on topics such as sexual harassment, new hire orientations, and manager training.
- Benefits and Compensation
- Oversee and administer benefits programs, including group health and life, workers' compensation, unemployment, and retirement plans.
- Administer benefit plan year-end compliance for ACA.
- Recruitment and Staffing
- Establish a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program to maintain a qualified pool of candidates.
- Counsel managers on candidate selection and conduct exit interviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Professional Development
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Experience
- Minimum of seven years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on client services and leadership.
- Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
