This is achieved efficiently while adhering to all applicable regulations. The Manager of International Tax will oversee U.S. international tax compliance, provisions, and planning. This position leads the international tax compliance and provision team, which includes two internal staff members based in the U.S. and a network of external service providers. The role acts as a primary liaison with the Vice President of Global Tax and non-tax business leaders on global international tax matters. As a vital member of the finance leadership team, this position contributes to the strategic vision while identifying, assessing, and addressing significant business risks, risk factors, and the relevant governance processes. The Manager reports directly to the Director of International Tax and Compliance & Integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage U.S. compliance and provision activities, including:
    • Tax reporting for over 175 non-U.S. subsidiaries.
    • Quarterly and annual accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) related to all U.S. international tax issues (GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, Foreign Tax Credits, etc.).
    • Conduct annual FIN48 analysis on international tax matters.
    • Develop and implement reporting infrastructure and strategy for Pillar 2.
    • Evaluate and leverage external resources.
  • Assist in the execution of global tax planning strategies, including:
    • Evaluating global holding jurisdictions and restructurings.
    • Assessing global intercompany debt profiles.
    • Planning for cross-border transactions.
    • Managing legal entity restructuring projects.
  • Lead special projects such as process development, system implementations, tax process automation, collaboration with business units, and addressing various tax technical issues.
  • Support, review, and oversee global tax audits.
  • Engage in acquisition and disposition projects to identify potential tax exposures and structures for proposed transactions.
  • Monitor global income tax legislation and provide guidance to the tax team as necessary.
  • Manage and develop direct reports while enhancing skills within the tax team.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Global Tax and business leaders to ensure the effective execution of international tax strategies.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a degree in Law or Accounting is preferred.
  • A Master's Degree or relevant certification (JD/CPA) is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of corporate tax experience in the international tax domain, preferably with a Big-4 firm or a U.S.-based multinational.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory management experience.
  • Experience with CorpTax software is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. international tax compliance and provision requirements.
  • Outstanding business communication skills with the ability to effectively convey tax issues to non-tax personnel.
  • Proven track record of effective team management, strong consensus-building, and collaboration.
