This role of Manager, International Tax, encompasses responsibilities for U.S. international tax compliance, provision, and planning. The incumbent will lead the international tax compliance and provision team, which includes two internal staff members based in the U.S. and a network of external service providers. This position will serve as a primary liaison with the Vice President of Global Tax and non-tax business leaders on international tax matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee U.S. compliance and provision activities, including:
    • Tax reporting for over 175 non-U.S. subsidiaries.
    • Quarterly and annual accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) related to all U.S. international tax issues (GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, Foreign Tax Credits, etc.).
    • Conduct annual FIN48 analysis on international tax issues.
    • Develop and implement a reporting infrastructure and strategy for Pillar 2.
    • Assess and utilize external resources effectively.
  • Assist in the execution of global tax planning strategies, including:
    • Evaluation and restructuring of global holding jurisdictions.
    • Management of the global intercompany debt profile.
    • Cross-border transactional tax planning.
    • Legal entity restructuring projects.
  • Engage in special projects, such as process development, systems implementation, automation of tax processes, and collaboration with business units on various tax technical issues.
  • Support and oversee global tax audits.
  • Participate in acquisition and disposition projects to assess potential tax exposures and structures for proposed transactions.
  • Monitor global income tax legislation and provide guidance to the tax team as necessary.
  • Manage and develop direct reports while enhancing skills within the tax team.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Global Tax and business units to ensure the effective execution of international tax strategies.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Law or Accounting.
  • A Master's Degree or relevant certification (JD/CPA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience in the international tax domain, with a preference for experience in a Big-4 firm or with a U.S.-based multinational.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory management experience.
  • Experience with CorpTax software is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. international tax compliance and provision requirements is essential.
  • Outstanding business communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey tax issues to non-tax personnel.
  • Proven track record of effective team management, strong consensus-building, and teamwork.
