Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead all interactions with clients, ensuring full accountability for the business account and striving to position NGK as the premier supplier.
  2. Drive the commercial success of the account by achieving sales and profit targets aligned with market demands.
  3. Foster and maintain robust communication networks with clients and supply chain partners.
  4. Conduct regular meetings with clients, documenting outcomes and necessary actions in our database.
  5. Provide technical guidance, recommend enhancements, and negotiate product specifications with clients, collaborating closely with Product Management.
  6. Engage with key client personnel to assess their technical and business needs, understanding the implications for NGK.
  7. Work alongside Business Strategy and Product Management teams to relay customer requirements and develop optimal solutions.
  8. Oversee contract negotiations, proposals, and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  9. Initiate product development processes in collaboration with relevant teams.
  10. Prepare and manage customer budget files, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  11. Monitor sales performance against budget forecasts, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  12. Stay informed on global emission regulations and anticipate future business needs.
  13. Analyze market trends and recommend strategic business initiatives.
  14. Evaluate competitor performance and suggest product and technology strategies accordingly.
  15. Act as the primary communication link between clients and internal teams, participating in technical and commercial discussions.
  16. Contribute to the enhancement of NGK processes to better serve customer needs.
  17. Lead efforts to resolve quality assurance issues and technical challenges related to products.
  18. Prepare and deliver presentations to clients covering all aspects of the business account.
  19. Coordinate customer visits and internal meetings to address various business needs.
  20. Identify opportunities for product differentiation and support new business initiatives.
  21. Ensure compliance with company policies and objectives.
  22. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in application engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and technology applications.
  • Exceptional customer engagement and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in computer applications.

Work Environment: This position is based in an office setting, with potential for overtime and travel as required.
