Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all interactions with clients, ensuring full accountability for the business account and striving to position NGK as the premier supplier.
- Drive the commercial success of the account by achieving sales and profit targets aligned with market demands.
- Foster and maintain robust communication networks with clients and supply chain partners.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients, documenting outcomes and necessary actions in our database.
- Provide technical guidance, recommend enhancements, and negotiate product specifications with clients, collaborating closely with Product Management.
- Engage with key client personnel to assess their technical and business needs, understanding the implications for NGK.
- Work alongside Business Strategy and Product Management teams to relay customer requirements and develop optimal solutions.
- Oversee contract negotiations, proposals, and pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Initiate product development processes in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Prepare and manage customer budget files, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Monitor sales performance against budget forecasts, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Stay informed on global emission regulations and anticipate future business needs.
- Analyze market trends and recommend strategic business initiatives.
- Evaluate competitor performance and suggest product and technology strategies accordingly.
- Act as the primary communication link between clients and internal teams, participating in technical and commercial discussions.
- Contribute to the enhancement of NGK processes to better serve customer needs.
- Lead efforts to resolve quality assurance issues and technical challenges related to products.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients covering all aspects of the business account.
- Coordinate customer visits and internal meetings to address various business needs.
- Identify opportunities for product differentiation and support new business initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience in application engineering or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and technology applications.
- Exceptional customer engagement and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in computer applications.
Work Environment: This position is based in an office setting, with potential for overtime and travel as required.
