Neurosciences Nursing Specialist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our H60 Neurosciences Nursing Unit. As a member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to complex neurological medical and surgical patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, brain and spine tumors, and other neurodegenerative diseases.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with our team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including physician and nursing orders, medication administration, and discharge planning.
- Assess and educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies, promoting patient empowerment and autonomy.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in neurological nursing and patient care.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum one year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision
