The H60 Neurosciences Nursing Unit specializes in the care of intricate neurological medical and surgical patients facing conditions such as stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, brain and spine tumors, Parkinson's Disease, Epilepsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, degenerative brain diseases, and spinal disorders.
Unit Certification:
Situated on Main Campus, the H60 unit is recognized as part of a Comprehensive Stroke Center within Cleveland Clinic's esteemed Neurological Institute. Our nursing staff comprises highly skilled specialists proficient in advanced neurological assessment techniques.
Orientation and Training:
We take pride in offering a personalized caregiver orientation designed to ensure success. We encourage engagement in various opportunities to enrich the orientation experience, including:
- Operating room observation
- Interactive case studies with nurse practitioners and residents
- Clinic observations

Clinical Responsibilities:
Join our team and participate in some of the most sophisticated procedures in healthcare, including:
- Craniotomies for brain tumors
- Shunts
- Aneurysm coiling/clipping
- Deep brain stimulators
- SA drain evaluations
- Spinal procedures such as laminectomy, discectomy, and fusions with hardware.

Job Functions:
- Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.

Certifications:

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required for acute care roles. Experience requirements vary for skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and emergency department settings.
