Environmental Services Specialist

Position Overview:
As an integral part of the healthcare team, the Environmental Services Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential support in patient care by performing tasks such as changing linens and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and common areas, including high-traffic zones like the Emergency Room and Labor and Delivery.
- Execute routine cleaning and disinfection protocols as per established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Services team to deliver support care in designated areas.
Daily Duties Include:
- Conduct thorough cleaning of all assigned spaces.
- Collect and dispose of waste appropriately, ensuring receptacles are kept clean.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with spill management as needed.
- Undertake project work and detailed cleaning tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or aide role is advantageous.
