Position: Chemical Operator

The chosen candidate will ensure that all production processes are executed safely, responsibly, and in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing and managing process equipment in line with standard operating procedures
- Diagnosing process issues and performing minor maintenance as needed
- Communicating process updates during shift change meetings
- Collecting samples and conducting basic analytical tests, monitoring results, and implementing corrective measures when necessary
- Documenting process and production metrics as per departmental standards
- Collaborating with supervisors and engineers to resolve issues and improve production, quality, and safety
- Keeping current with software and equipment, including Delta-V, SAP, and Outlook
- Identifying faulty equipment through inspection and testing
- Assisting in basic root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
- Working from technical drawings, specifications, and instructions
- Promoting a Zero Incident Mindset and adhering to Safe Work Practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, and Permitting procedures.

Required Skills
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Capacity to thrive in a team setting while working independently
- Familiarity with safety and environmental protocols.

Additional Requirements
All external candidates must successfully complete a physical assessment and meet the following criteria:
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Capability to climb and descend stairs/ladders of up to eight stories
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends.

Experience and Education
- Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing role or a two-year degree in a relevant field
- Preferred background in chemical processing
- Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) is advantageous
- Candidates who have completed a chemical operator or process operations course should indicate this on their resume.

Work Environment
- Years of Experience: 2+ to 5 Years
- Level of Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Salary Type: Hourly
- Shift Work: Required (1st, 2nd & 3rd shift)
- Travel: No Travel Required.
