Job Summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Develop and implement programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, RCRA, DOT, ADEM, and EPA regulations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Safety and Health Programs
    • Develop and implement safety and health programs to prevent injuries and illnesses.
    • Conduct training sessions for employees on safety and health procedures.
  • Environmental Sustainability
    • Develop and implement programs to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact.
    • Conduct regular reviews of environmental policies and procedures.
  • Project Management
    • Manage and coordinate projects related to environmental sustainability and compliance.
    • Develop and implement project plans and timelines.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve environmental sustainability and compliance goals.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 3+ years of experience in environmental health and safety, with increasing responsibilities.
  • Skills
    • Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Strong communication and project management skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative individually.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications
    • CHMM, CSP, CIH certification.
  • Skills
    • Knowledge of engineering, chemical, physical, and biological sciences.
    • Experience managing significant environmental programs.
