Position Overview:

McWane, Inc. is currently in search of an HR Operations Specialist to enhance our workforce management.

As a leading manufacturer in the waterworks industry, McWane, Inc. is dedicated to excellence in producing ductile iron fittings, joint restraints, and valve boxes.

The HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in executing human resources initiatives by delivering comprehensive HR services. Responsibilities encompass recruitment and staffing for designated employee groups, training and development, employee relations, performance management, and compliance analytics to support informed decision-making. This role serves as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries within the assigned employee group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management: Adhere to all safety protocols associated with the McWane Safety Management Program and report any discrepancies.
  • Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of HR information.
  • HR Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional HR services by effectively communicating through appropriate channels, addressing inquiries, and guiding both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relationship Development: Foster and maintain strong working relationships within the HR department and across the organization.
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, utilizing the recruitment system for sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates.
  • HRIS Management: Utilize the HRIS for managing new hires, terminations, and other HR transactions.
  • Training Facilitation: Conduct new hire orientations and facilitate additional HR training sessions as required.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Manage the employee discipline process, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Investigative Procedures: Carry out investigations related to employee grievances and concerns.
  • Data Reporting: Develop business intelligence reports and dashboards within the HRIS for data analysis and compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal employment laws and maintain personnel records in accordance with legal and corporate standards.
  • Workforce Development: Engage in outreach and workforce development initiatives.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of full-time experience in human resources is essential, with a preference for recruitment experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Certification from SHRM or HRCI is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
