Position Overview

Job Summary

The Senior Acquisition Analyst will provide essential support to a federal client in the Washington, DC area, focusing on the creation of both pre-award and post-award documentation, including contract closure processes.

Key Requirements

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, which necessitates U.S. Citizenship. Preferred qualifications include FAC-C/CFCM/CPPB certification.

Primary Responsibilities

The following duties are integral to this role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary:

  • Deliver procurement assistance throughout all stages of the procurement lifecycle, from acquisition planning to contract closure.
  • Possess expertise in procuring services, supplies, and IT network capabilities.
  • Draft complex acquisition documentation for labor and hardware/software contracts exceeding $10M.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and provide strategic procurement recommendations based on current organizational strategies and future planning.
  • Transform complex technical requirements into clear, detailed performance statements, while editing and drafting technical documents in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Offer post-award support to procurement and contract management teams, including:
    • Financial tracking of contracts
    • Management and oversight of contracts
    • Document management and quality assurance
  • Organize daily tasks in alignment with company policies and supervisor directives to optimize personal productivity.
  • Engage in self-development by actively participating in training opportunities provided by the company.

Education and Experience

A Bachelor's degree is required, along with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's degree in Business Administration, Contract Law, Contract Management, or a related field is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicants should possess:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the FAR and DFARs.
  • The ability to create visually appealing, evidence-based recommendations, executive summaries, courses of action, and status reports.
  • Strong communication skills to convey conclusions, analytical findings, and system enhancements to key stakeholders.
  • Expertise in overall portfolio and program management.
  • Experience in process improvement methodologies.
  • A passion for supporting client teams and exploring innovative acquisition strategies.
  • Proficiency in DoD IT acquisition and communication with system stakeholders regarding statutory and regulatory updates.
  • Understanding of technology, network security, and network architecture concepts.
  • The capability to leverage technical skills to identify and develop IT program needs, facilitating effective management of requirements and portfolios.
