Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Focus. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities- Quality Leadership
- Champion initiatives that identify risk and drive closure of recommendations to reduce identified risks.
- Provide leadership and direct support to quality activities for storage conditions, product handling, kitting, labeling, and distribution operations.
- Quality Program Design and Maintenance
- Responsible for the design and maintenance of quality programs, including but not limited to QA plans, inspection procedures, work instructions, training, deviation investigations, facility mapping, and validation projects.
- Quality Data Analysis and Reporting
- Manage and analyze data from customers and internal sources as input for problem-solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel.
- Corrective Action and Process Improvement
- Develop and design irreversible corrective actions for known problems.
- Use established problem-solving techniques to reduce process variation.
- Quality System Development and Implementation
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Quality System.
- Reports to Management on the effectiveness of the Quality System.
- Communication and Coaching
- Generate, interpret, analyze, and communicate results using management tools, graphs, and reports; actively coach the organization concerning quality with tools and reports.
- Education
- Bachelor of Science in engineering (Quality, Process, Industrial) or relevant experience.
- Credentials
- 8 years of progressive experience performing professional-level quality management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
- 5 years of experience in a warehouse management environment.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, audits, and inspection techniques, and experience with ISO 9001.
- Ability to develop work instructions, procedures, and visual aids to support operations.
- Proficient in the use of computers and several Windows-based applications.
- Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools - DMAIC problem-solving.
- Must be detail-oriented and consistently meets commitments. Possesses good organizational and planning skills, can multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to document and execute against short and long-term plans to achieve objectives.
- Proven work experience in process or quality engineering.
- Knowledge of process-related standards.
- Previous experience working with CAD and AutoCAD.
- High level of comfort developing and delivering presentations to all levels of associates.
- Certifications
- CQA/CQ/ASQ certification as a quality engineer is considered an asset.
- Certification as a lead auditor is considered an asset.
- Six Sigma Certification is desired.
