About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems, including design, coordination, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational plans for completing projects, monitor progress, and resolve operational problems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design, coordinate, and maintain mechanical systems, including HVAC, boilers, controllers, and other equipment.
  • Manage and maintain documentation for mechanical systems, including electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Ensure that building mechanical systems meet capacity and reliability requirements.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, scope of work, budgets, and project E-Flow to support plant-wide projects.
  • Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life.
  • Train associates on enhancements to operations related to mechanical/electrical systems.
Requirements
  • 4-year B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and 0-6 years of experience developing, coordinating, and managing mechanical and/or facility-related projects.
  • Strong subject matter knowledge of industrial mechanical systems from concept through final design and implementation.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, customer focus, and Microsoft office capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, comprehend technical drawings and specifications, and plan and execute special projects and reporting.
  • Experience with Control Systems Architecture and Programming.
  • Ability to balance the wants/needs of the customer department with facilities equipment requirements.
  • Knowledge of Project Flow, Budgeting, and Cost Reporting, along with Project Tracking to confirm Project Targets are Achieved.
  • Knowledge of Equipment Reliability Systems (PM's, Equipment Monitoring, MTTR/MTBF Tracking, EOL Evaluation, etc.).
