Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Desk Officer to join our team at Nava. As a key member of our Network Operations Center, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting services to our customers in the Northern Virginia area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support via telephone and trouble ticket-oriented Service Desk
  • Monitor Network and Server Infrastructure, perform initial troubleshooting on LAN & WAN data telecommunications equipment and supporting applications and services
  • Use on-the-job experience, documentation, knowledge bases, and deployed network and IT management tools for troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Serve as liaison between end users/customers and senior technical staff for escalated issues
  • Process routine customer work orders, such as adding routes and system accounts
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with general information technology
  • Willingness to work in Northern Virginia (west of Tysons Corner up to and including Dulles Airport Vicinity)
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • 8570 compliance (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination with any necessary Computing Environment (CE) for certification
Technical Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Active Directory, and network infrastructure concepts and troubleshooting
  • Ability to use Office 365 to create reports and spreadsheets
  • 8570 Compliance (IAT Level II) approved baseline certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP
Clearance
  • Minimum: TS/SCI, will sponsor CI Poly if minimum requirements met
  • Preferred: TS/SCI (crossover eligible) with CI Poly
