Help Desk Technician Job Description

Johnson Law Group is a dynamic and innovative law firm seeking a skilled Help Desk Technician to join our IT team. As a Help Desk Technician, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our employees, ensuring seamless IT operations, and contributing to the firm's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to employees, resolving day-to-day helpdesk issues and escalating complex problems to senior IT staff.
  • Monitor and maintain IT systems, including backup and update reporting, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with IT Directors to analyze and improve helpdesk activity, identifying areas for process enhancements and implementing recommendations.
  • Imaging workstations using Intune and ConnectWise packages, ensuring consistent and secure configurations.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned, contributing to the development and implementation of IT initiatives.
  • Recommend updates to IT documentation, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information for employees and IT staff.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving the firm's IT security posture and policies, promoting a culture of security awareness and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in helpdesk support, with a strong background in Windows 10/11, Office 365 Suite, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and general hardware support.
  • Active Directory administration experience, including password reset, security groups, and GPO management.
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to manage IT physical hardware inventory and assist with logistics.
  • General knowledge of virus/malware/spyware diagnosis and removal techniques.
  • Strong English skills, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, manuals, policies, and vendor documentation.
  • Experience with remote access support, including VPN and Terminal Services.
  • IT-related degree preferred, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
