The Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role in informing clients about the comprehensive array of services and advantages offered at our dealership, ultimately driving additional revenue. Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive workplace atmosphere and uphold the vision, mission, and values of Blanchard Machinery.
  • Execute all job functions safely, promoting and advocating for a secure and healthy work environment.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all retail customer service inquiries. Engage with clients in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner, ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely communication to establish clear service expectations and fulfill commitments.
  • Facilitate the coordination of customer requirements and expectations internally with relevant team members. Generate service tickets and ensure accurate and timely updates in the service management systems to keep all parties informed and aligned on tasks to be performed.
  • Identify customer needs to uncover and secure additional service revenue opportunities. Make suitable recommendations for supplementary services that enhance machine uptime and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Investigate service history on customer accounts, determine parts and pricing for service orders, and provide a framework for quotes to the relevant supervisor for review and completion.
  • Proactively reach out to clients to share updates on service progress, inspection findings, and any changes to service quotes and expected completion timelines.
  • Set clear expectations for final billing amounts and provide clients with a copy of the invoice for review prior to equipment pickup. Responsible for processing customer payments.
  • Address all customer complaints and concerns, ensuring satisfactory resolutions to enhance customer retention.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture and promote the vision, mission, and values of Blanchard Machinery.
  • Complete all job responsibilities safely, advocating for a secure and healthy work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the diesel or construction equipment industry is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, management, and customers in a positive and professional manner.
  • Capacity to adapt to shifting priorities, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
  • Must possess a customer-focused mindset and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated; capable of managing multiple tasks and adapting to change.
  • Must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, quickly establishing rapport with customers both over the phone and in person.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning and navigating new software.
  • Personal commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions:

  • The work environment requires the employee to operate both indoors and in non-climate-controlled settings throughout the year.
  • Job responsibilities involve standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, and lifting.
