Key Responsibilities- Training Program Development: Contribute to a positive work environment and promote the vision, mission, and values of BMC. Complete all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promoting and championing a safe and healthy work environment.
- Design and Develop Training Programs: Create comprehensive training programs for BMC customer technicians, including monthly offered courses and dedicated apprenticeship offerings. Update training materials regularly to incorporate new equipment, technologies, and best practices.
- Training Coordination and Delivery: Develop yearly customer offerings, including dedicated apprenticeships. Coordinate the enrollment of customer technicians using the Learning Management System. Conduct hands-on and classroom training sessions with customer technicians.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Report to customers monthly on the progress of apprentice technicians, including e-learning and in-person class performance. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to trainees to improve their skills.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all training programs comply with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline, preferred.
- Certifications: Caterpillar CIAP certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Caterpillar heavy equipment. Previous experience in a training or instructional role required.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar heavy equipment, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to design and implement effective training programs, strong organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in using training software and tools.
