Position Overview

The Bridge Inspection Team Lead will be responsible for executing safety evaluations on bridges and related structures in accordance with established regulatory standards. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Manager to manage inspections, budgets, and the quality of work. You will lead a team of Assistants to ensure comprehensive inspections, precise reporting, and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate inspection teams to execute evaluations and reviews.
  • Detect structural issues and suggest necessary repairs.
  • Keep detailed records of structural conditions.
  • Provide clients with insights regarding structural integrity.
  • Employ various tools and techniques for assessment and testing.
  • Oversee subcontractors for auxiliary tasks.
  • Supervise Assistant Inspectors to ensure effective evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge inspection.
  • CBSI certification is required.

Additional Information

Willingness to travel for inspections as necessary, including potential overnight stays.

  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to directives.
