Human Resources Specialist

About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled HR Manager to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and be proficient in payroll systems, benefits administration, and HR best practices. Key responsibilities include managing employee relations, payroll, benefits, and compliance while fostering a positive and efficient workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
- Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Oversee time and attendance reporting to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Manage employee benefits, including medical, dental, 401(k), and ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan).
- Administer the ESOP program by ensuring proper allocation of shares to eligible employees.
- Employee Records and Compliance
- Maintain and update employee records, including contact information and phone directories.
- Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Recruitment and Team Management
- Lead recruitment efforts for warehouse and office staff, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Supervise and mentor an HR Generalist handling recruiting and benefits coordination.
- Employee Engagement and Events
- Plan and organize company events, including holiday parties and employee appreciation activities, to boost morale and engagement.
- Warehouse Operations Support
- Provide HR support specific to warehouse operations, including workforce planning and compliance with safety regulations.
- Accounting Support (Preferred)
- Assist with basic accounting tasks to support cross-functional operations.
Requirements:
- A competitive salary of $70,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
- Possess a proven track record as an HR Manager or similar role, with a background in warehouse environments.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse-specific compliance and labor laws.
- Leadership skills with experience supervising HR staff.
- Event planning experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting or finance is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
