Position Overview

Join our team as a Healthcare Support Technician at Meridian Health Services, where we are dedicated to enhancing access to Whole-Person Healthcare for underserved communities.

Compensation: Starting at $15 per hour or more.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

As a vital member of our organization, you will provide essential support and administrative services at our office. Your passion for improving community health aligns with our mission to integrate physical, mental, and social health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in effective communication with center staff, clients, and the public, ensuring a professional and customer-oriented atmosphere.
  • Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments for healthcare providers, and route messages appropriately.
  • Handle patient co-pays and perform general cashier duties during registration.
  • Retrieve medical records from external providers and maintain accurate medical charts for new patients, adhering to release of information protocols.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in a secretarial or office role.
  • Strongly preferred: Prior experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in computer use, data entry, and telephone operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to confidentiality.
